- How do I water my Glowpear Urban Garden Self-Watering Planter?
The Glowpear Urban Garden Self-Watering Planter is designed with the flexibility to compliment your lifestyle. Accordingly, there are three options for watering your Glowpear planter.
1. Via rainwater if exposed to the elements.
2. Manually water the soil in the growing chamber using a garden hose or watering can.
3. Manually fill the water reservoir via the fill point when the level indicator is low.
Whichever option you choose, the Glowpear self watering system ensures excess water is collected and released over time so your plants receive constant attention and nourishment.
- Will my Glowpear Urban Garden Self-Watering Planter leak onto my balcony?
The Glowpear Urban Garden Self-Watering Planter contains a built-in water reservoir, which can hold a maximum water volume of 13.25L (in addition to any excess capacity in the growing chamber). In the event this reservoir is overfilled, water will exit the system via the designated overflow point.
If you are concerned with overflow, don’t worry, we have you covered. All you need to do is clip on a Glowpear drip tray at the overflow point on each side. Two Glowpear drip trays are included with each planter ensuring indoor or outdoor surface protection is never a concern.
- How do I care for my Glowpear Urban Garden Self-Watering Planter?
The Glowpear Urban Garden Self-Watering Planter is made of HDPE plastic resin that has been UV protected so that it survives outdoor environments. You can clean the plastic surfaces of the planter by hand with soap and warm water. For certain hard to lift stains additional cleaning power in the form of a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution may be required. This solution should not affect product color.
During times of cooler weather or when used indoors, the planter may use less water for long periods of time. In such circumstances you may like to flush the water reservoir to prevent the encapsulated water from becoming stagnant. Once every 3-6 months should be sufficient.
In order to flush the reservoir, simply remove one screw plug from each end of the planter (outside) and allow the contents of the reservoir to drain. Once draining is complete, use a hose at one end to flush out the reservoir for a minute or two, allowing the water to run freely from the opposite end. Once the reservoir has again been allowed to drain, re-apply the screw plugs (ensuring they are fitted tightly), and the planter is ready to be re-filled as per your normal watering method.

Shipping charges are calculated before any promotional discount is added based on the current price of each item (including the reduced prices of clearance items or select items with a limited-time reduced price). Once you enter your promotional discount for clearance and specially priced items, you will often incur shipping charges calculated based on the listed clearance or limited-time reduced price of each item.
Standard Delivery orders are shipped via standard ground service, and generally will arrive in 3-7 business days after you receive a tracking code. Please see the table below for the charges.
Additional charges may apply for drop-off locations that cannot accommodate large vehicles. Please indicate on your order if your desired drop-off location requires non-standard delivery. Unless noted, items sent to non-standard locations will be delivered to the first dry threshold available. Typically, orders will ship from the warehouse within a couple of business days. Most orders for furniture and other large items will be delivered by common carrier to your garage or first dry area. You should expect in-transit time of 4-10 days depending on your location. Items that can be shipped by FedEx should arrive in 3-7 business days.
Expedited Shipping is available for many items for an upcharge. Contact us for the lowest available quoted price for your required level of service. Please note some items can not be expedited due to weight or distance constraints. If you choose expedited shipping and we cannot accommodate that request, we will contact you immediately.
You may return an item for a refund of the merchandise total within 30 days of delivery. Upon return, your item will be inspected, and exchanges, credits and refunds will be issued for the purchase price only. Return credits are issued within 24 hours once the item is received and inspected. Any taxes charged will be refunded in accordance with state and local laws. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Return shipping and re-stocking fees may apply.
When returning an item, please complete the information on the back of your packing slip, and use the return address label we provide. Pack your return securely and be sure to ship it via insured US Mail or UPS Ground. Retain your shipping receipt for your records.
Items must be in new condition and in the original packaging to qualify for a refund (please do not assemble or modify the product in any way). The few exceptions that cannot be returned include:

Being that our product is a living thing, we can't accept returns or exchanges, nor can we guarantee the life span of your terrarium. However, we do guarantee your terrarium will arrive healthy. Each item is packaged using a super awesome neurotic shipping method that limits damages in transit. Each package is insured and we will gladly replace any terrarium or product damaged in transit.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
If you order has shipped, you (the buyer) will be responsible for actual return shipping charges. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order.
As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment. If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.
If your order is stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within five business days from the date of your order. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address your provide when checking out. If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at email@example.com.
Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrived damaged, please send photos to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf.
